You – The Employee

Every employee is entitled to be treated with dignity and respect in the workplace and to work in an environment that is free from bullying, harassment and sexual harassment.  This right to “Dignity at Work” is enshrined in our legislation and all employers have a legal duty to take reasonable care of their employees’ safety from mental, psychological or psychiatric injuries that emanate from workplace stress, bullying, harassment and sexual harassment.  Equally, all employees have a responsibility in creating and contributing to the maintenance of a work environment free from bullying, harassment and sexual harassment and to conduct themselves in a manner that supports the right to “Dignity at Work” for fellow employees.
